Our Goal
Meet the physical and spiritual needs of our community
Compassion
Operating from a Christian ethos, we strive to meet people where they are at. In an appropriate way addressing challenges such as poverty and marginalisation to name but a few
Integrity
Our attitudes, words and actions will be true to our goal and values at every level of the organisation and in the areas that we serve. We believe that we are stewards of all that we have, A few of these resources are finances, property, donations and peoples’ time.
Hope
We endeavour to bring hope to all the people and communities that we serve. We desire to do this holistically by responding to their physical, emotional and spirituals needs as best we can
Dignity
We believe that each person has been made in God’s image and is therefore uniquely valuable and worthy of the highest respect. We serve all irrespective of their race, gender, religion, age, or nationality. Wherever possible we personalise our assistance, taking individual needs and circumstances into account, and respecting the dignity and independence of each other and the people we serve.
Joy
As we work together to serve people, we choose to nurture life-giving joy that comes from our creator and gives us strength amid the challenges in life. Therefore, we seek to be thankful, to share our burdens, to be united, to encourage, to be at peace with one another and to celebrate.
Faith
Motivated by our Christian faith we desire to care for those in need. Jesus Christ taught us to love God and to love our neighbour. Our faith inspires us to give our best in all we do and we pray for wisdom, strength and grace as we do this.
Accountability
We are accountable to our supporters, our clients and those whom we serve alongside. At all levels of the organisation we are willing to be held accountable for our words, behaviour, actions and to honouring our core values. This includes our use of funds, resources and people’s time.
