Staff

These are the staff comings and goings of the Dublin Christian Mission since 1965.

Albert V. Shaw. - Invited to superintend in November, 1965 where he remained until his passing to Glory April 1987.

Robert J. McAlister - Appointed first Missionary in 1965. Left in 1966 and was subsequently commended by his Church Assembly to evangelize in the Ballymun area.

David A. Harding. - Applied and appointed in 1966. Left to take up secular employment in September 1969.

Edith Deering. - Applied and appointed in 1968. Returned to Northern Ireland in December 1974.

Helen Shaw. - Joined DCM after her marriage to the Superintendent, in 1968.

George Hughes. - Applied and appointed in 1968. Died after accident in 1976.

Essie Egar. - Applied and appointed in 1969. Retired due to failing health 1983. Called to Glory 2002.

Margaret Massey. - Applied and appointed in 1971. Left after marriage to care for her first child in 1976. 

Gordon Harper. - Applied and appointed in 1973. Left in 1983 to carry on "Family Ministries" from his home.

Beryl Ruston. - Applied and appointed in 1977. Married Gordon Harper and left with him in 1983.

John Browne. - Applied and appointed 1977. Left for secular employment 1979.

Tom Jones. - Appointed 1977. Left for U.S.A. 1979.

Chris Mulhall. - Appointed in 1980. Worked with Dublin Christian Mission until 1981.

Peggy Thomas. - Applied and appointed on a trial basis only in 1979; reapplied in 1980. Period of probation extended. Resigned for health reasons 1980.

Billy Jones. - Applied and appointed in 1981. He worked with Dublin Christian Mission until 1982. Later appointed as Port Missionary with S.C.F.S., Dublin.

Paul & June Davis. - Applied and appointed Honorary Hosts at Dublin Christian Mission, Lucan Centre, 1981. Declined invitation on to Staff - Left Lucan Centre in August, 1985.

David Davison. - Applied for full-time service 1985 withdrew application due to difficulties. Moved to England.

Carole Wardlaw. - Applied and appointed as Trainee Missionary in Dec. 1985. Appointed in Dec. 1986. Worked with DCM until Feb. 1991.

Gordon Farrar. - Appointed as Secretary in 1987. Worked with DCM until Feb. 1991.

Laim & Sheena Joyce. - Appointed as Coordinator in 1987. Worked with DCM until 1990.

Kirk Joyce. - Applied and appointed 1990. Worked with DCM until Feb. 1991.

Billy & Julie Swann. - Applied and appointed as Mission Youth Worker in April 1988. They currently direct the work from 5&6 Chancery Place.

Jim & Attracta Hanna. - Applied and appointed in 1989. They supervised the work at 28 Pearse Street until December 1994.

Declan Keenan - Appointed as Youth Worker for one year term 1993/94. Subsequently re-appointed in April 2002 Youth & Community Worker for the Ormond Quay area.  

Hilary Kennedy. - Applied and appointed in June 1994 to a one year service period. Reapplied and was accepted into full-time service in June 1995 until June 1999.  

John Harrison - John volunteered with the Mission from 1994 until 1997 when he married  Linda and they applied and were accepted to work full-time. They resigned in November 2007 for family reasons.

Jennifer Small - Applied and appointed in September 1998 as Youth Worker. Married Andrew Dawson and remained in work as Youth & Community Worker for the wider Crumlin Area.

Catie Bellamy - Applied and appointed in June 1999 as Youth & Community Worker for the Ballyfermot area subsequently becoming Youth Work Coordinator in September 2001. Resigned in February 2002 due to illness.

Jayne Purdy - Applied and appointed in June 1999 as Youth Worker for an eighteen-month period.

Belinda Squance - Seconded from Greater Europe Mission in June 1999 as Youth Worker for a two year period, subsequently returning in August 2002 for a four year period as Youth & Community Worker for the Ormond Quay area. Belinda returned home due to ill-health in June 2003.

Andrew Dawson - Applied and appointed in September 1999 as Youth & Community Worker with Jennifer for the wider Crumlin area.

Paul Power - Applied and appointed in January 2001 as Youth Worker becoming Youth & Community Worker for the Ormond Quay area in September 2001. Resigned in June 2008 to start his own business.

David Stewart - Applied and appointed in November 2001 as Youth & Community Worker for the Ballyfermot area. Resigned for personal reasons in June 2004.

Amy Tabb - Applied and appointed in April 2002 as the Youth Work Coordinator.  Resigned in October 2003 to support her husband in sports ministry.  

Keely Hawley - Applied and appointed as Youth Counsellor in August 2003 after completing our One Year Programme. Was married to Alex Mosley in October 2004 and left full-time service to work with Alex in August 2005.

Jonathan Doey - Applied and appointed for a one year period as Youth & Community Worker for the Ormond Quay area in August 2004 after completing the One Year Team.

Liesel Reimer - Volunteered for a four month period in 2004. Seconded from World Partners, Canada in October 2005 as Youth Work Coordinator for a four year period.

Christine Young - Applied and appointed in July 2006 as Family Worker for the Ormond Quay area.  Resigned in May 2008 for personal reasons.

Samaria Flores - Served our Year Programme 2005 - 2006 and volunteered full-time as a Youth Worker from August 2006.

Rachelle Kriel - Applied and appointed in March 2007 as Office Administrator.

Rochanne Noble - Applied and appointed in April 2009 as Light House Team Leader.

Patrick Browne - Applied and appointed in April 2009 as Youth and Community Worker for the Ballyfermot area.
