| Helping Dublin's Homeless with food and clothes. In 1989, premises became available to the Mission in Dublin's Pearse Street. Soon after, a drop-in centre was opened for some of the many drug addicts in the area. These addicts were attending
a government drugs clinic, located just next door. There are some 1000 registered addicts attending such clinics each week with perhaps
ten times as many unregistered addicts not receiving help. With the increase in immigration, the Light House has also become a haven for the many migrant workers who struggle with the Dublin streets.
Between 80 - 120 people are served each evening the Light House opens. Each person comes with a story to tell and a need to be filled. In the Light House, guests can experience the love of God in practical ways that will nurture their whole being.
