| Beautifully situated in the Wicklow mountains is Ballinderry, the site of all our summer camps. During the summer we run nine weeks of camp. Each camp is a one week getaway and time of spiritual nourishment for kids and families that the Mission has had consistent contact with during the previous year. Each
year the Mission subsidizes about two thirds of the cost of camp in order
to ensure that those who want to attend can do so. The cost to Sponsor a
Child for camp is 70 Euro which includes the price of food, outings,
accommodation and transport. You can request more information about
Sponsor a Child or donate by clicking the link
here. In traditional camping style, all Leaders and Campers stay in designated tents for the week and have all meals and sessions in the Marquee. Each day consists of session times, activities (crafts, sports, community games, archery, etc), outings, meal times, and night games/walks. For many of our Families and Young People,
camp is one of the most memorable weeks of the year. We
are currently developing our campsite in Ballinderry, improving the
facilites and the overall camp experience. Teams of workers with practical
skills volunteer several times a year to carry out this work. Summer
2010 will see the first ever camp training block for Junior Leaders which
will run during camp set up week June 14th - 18th.
